How do I get useful feedback on a project?
Useful feedback comes from showing a concrete artifact to the right person and asking a narrow question tied to a decision you can change.
Ask about a decision
‘What do you think?’ creates vague reactions. Ask whether the problem is clear, where the person became confused, which assumption seems weakest, or what would stop them from using the result.
Separate signals
One comment is a clue, not a verdict. Look for repeated confusion, compare feedback with observed behavior, and decide which audience the project serves before revising everything.
Close the loop
Thank the reviewer, state what you changed or chose not to change, and share the improved version. This turns feedback into evidence of collaboration.
